PokerStars Championship Player of the Year

For more than a decade, PokerStars-sponsored live poker events have brought together the world’s best players as they battle to prove they’re status as poker legends. In 2017, you can join them, because not only will the PokerStars Championship 2017 Player of the Year take home $100,000, they’ll also be the tour’s first-ever champion of champions.

Players will earn points according to the Global Poker Index (GPI) points formula, and the GPI will administer the points.

How it works:

  • Each PokerStars Championship stop will run a ‘Tournament Leaderboard’ in 2017
  • Players will earn points according to the Global Poker Index (GPI) points formula, and the GPI will administer the points.
  • The player who finishes top of each Leaderboard instantly qualifies for the ‘PokerStars Championship 2017 Player of the Year’ competition and could be crowned 2017’s Player of the Year.
  • The final will take place at the PokerStars Championship Bahamas 2018, and the winner will walk home with $100,000

All 2017 PokerStars Championship Leaderboard winners will be eligible to receive a PokerStars Championship Bahamas VIP Package which includes:

  • PokerStars Championship Bahamas Main Event Buy-in
  • Accommodation in a suite at the Cove
  • Airport Transfers
  • Room Folio
